Having been freelance for many years I have been fortunate to travel and work extensively within the UK, Europe, Asia and the
Middle East.
Single camera lighting and operating although I am equally busy now with multi camera outside broadcast and studio. I work
regularly for most broadcasters in the UK and many corporate clients. Extensive experience working on live broadcasting both
multi camera and news via satellite trucks, self op Ranger trucks and self op LiveU 4G transmitters.
Lots of music experience operating hand held on stage, long lens and tracking camera front of stage including
The Charlatans, James, Martha Reeves, Tom Jones, Manic Street Preachers, Lou Reed, The Pretenders, Anthrax, K.T.Tunstall,
Sister Sledge, Franz Ferdinand, Turin Brakes, Idlewild and many more. Multiple series programmes for BBC operating Sony F55's,
Arri Amira's and Mini's with artists including Adam Cohen, The McCrary Sisters, Mary Chain Carpenter and Kris Kristoffersen.
More recently working on Celtic Connections music festival and Scottish National Orchestra projects and Glasgow Barons on new
orchestral pieces commisioned and filmed for television and streaming.
I have lit and shot interviews with many musicians, actors and politicians including Billy Connolly, Sir Elton John, Travis, Sharleen
Spiteri, Edwyn Collins, John Peel, Richard E Grant, Alan Cumming, Sir Richard Attenborough, Bill Forsyth, Sir Sean Connery, Peter
Brook, plus many more.
I own a fully equipped Sony FS7 camera kit including an extensive set of prime and zoom lenses, Wally dolly and 4 metres of track, lots of LED and tungsten lighting and sound kit. Canon 5D MK3 and lenses. Macbook Pro with card readers and Lacie
rugged hard drives for transferring and Dacking up rushes on site. I provide a camera venice as well as a Landrover with Tour
wheel drive, mud terrain tyres and underbody protection.
Fully insured for Public Liability (Ten Million pounds) via BECTU, clean current driving licence.
